My Life

Fifteen minutes of fame

Jason Godfrey, 29, Sydney

I'm just spending the day in Melbourne before I go down to Hobart. I'm going to see my family. I've been working in Sydney for the past six years or so. I work in the timber yards making a lot of building materials for houses and stuff like that. I'll probably stay in Hobart for two to three months and do a bit of part-time or casual work before I go back to Sydney. Melbourne's a good place. I lived here about 10 or 12 years back. But my real home is probably Hobart, where my father and brothers and sisters are. -- FLEUR LEYDEN

Tuesday 6 NOVEMBER

13 days until the ``Raw Energy Fat Tire Festival" at Thredbo Alpine Village. Birthday of Jean Shrimpton. 31 years since Italy formally recognised China.

``Success took me to her bosom like a maternal boa constrictor." -- Noel Coward
